Betty Lopez - Quilts of Many Colors

Betty Lopez founded Quilts of Many Colors after learning from a police officer about how children were affected when they were removed from their homes by the Department of Family and Children's Services. She wanted to find a way to comfort the children. So she recruited members of her church to create quilts to be distributed to the children. The women make 10-12 quilts per month and have given away over 500 in the last three years. See pictures of the ladies and their quilts at www.virtueradionetwork.com/inspireme.htm.
